Village Hotel Blackpool

E Park Dr, Blackpool FY3 8LL, UK – 01253 208870

Last time we came it was 110% outstanding, won’t go to another hotel in Blackpool. Literally pay £7 there and back to the pleasure beach/Blackpool’s pier purposely to be able to stop in this hotel. The breakfast last time was fantastic unlimited everything for £7.50 we was amazed by it. Currently staying this time our bath water was on the loop warm side due to child cap which was a little disappointing, a member of staff looked if there was any other room there was with the same cap on so couldn’t move rooms. One of our breakfasts could have been knocked of or something in return as it’s one of our facilities that comes with the room? Wasn’t angry or anything just a point made for improvement. Other than that the hotel is perfect and still wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Village hotel is an excellent hotel , comparing to the others hotels. The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. There's an excellent views outside the door of the hotel .The zoo very close to the hotel if you have kids and The hotel very close to city centre is about 1.4 miles. The breakfast was good , excellent room service . As well we enjoyed the swimming inside and out side the door.😘 thanks a lot to Viallage Hotel Blackpool team.

Lyndene Hotel

303-315 Promenade, Blackpool FY1 6AN, UK – 01253 346779

Met up with friends for a birthday drink. Clean and tidy in the bar area. Friendly staff

Been.here several.times in last 18 years. Lyndene in my view has gone down.a little since then, but staff and food cannot be faulted, just decor needs looking into. Well.worth a holiday booking.

Big Blue Hotel

Clifton Dr, Blackpool FY4 1ND, UK – 0871 222 4000

Great hotel to stay at, lovely breakfast and dinner is served in the restaurant too. Would highly recommend. The VIP entrance to the theme park is also a great convenience as saves the walking down to the main entrance to start your day. Only small drawbacks were the toilet door handle being extremely loose, the fire in the bedroom not working and members of the restaurant staff being a little snappy. But this is my second year staying here and it has improved so much since then! Will definitely be returning if in Blackpool again!

Our second stay at the hotel after enjoying our first stay in 2016. When we arrived we were upgraded to a suite which was very nice. Comfortable bed, nice lounge area with complimentary wine, nice bathroom. Staff very courteous and friendly. Hotel very clean. The breakfast buffet is not the best quality but is much nicer than buffet at some UK hotels/Alton towers and Thorpe park hotels. The views of the pleasure beach are exceptional. For the money this hotel is extremely good value.

Pubs, Gastro Pubs and Bars

Excelsior

177-181 Lytham Rd, Blackpool FY1 6EU, UK – 07969 635442

Best sports pub to watch football, the main pub for Celtic supporters in Blackpool. Friendly bar staff. Very clean pub. VERY good disability fertility's. Good choice of bear's, lathers, siders and sprites. I give the Excelsior 10 out of 10.

Good traditional pub, not your usual Blackpool 'starwars disco' boozer.

The No4 Pub

Layton Rd, Blackpool FY3 8ER, UK – 01253 398949

Been here quite a few times. Back room is relaxed atmosphere and pool/darts TV. The rest of the pub and seating is also relaxed. good drinks but a preferred pub compared to others because it's quieter and friendly

Good local. Extensive menu of freshly cooked good cheap food. Keep up the good work!

The Mere Park

Preston Old Rd, Blackpool FY3 9SP, UK – 01253 765038

Fantastic little place to eat, reasonably priced and the staff are amazing. I accidentally left my daughter's birthday cards there and they really kindly posted them to me. Highly recommended

Both me and my partner Fay originate from Barnsley. Fay moved over to Blackpool just round the corner on Suffolk rd for work reasons. I visit and we called in The Mere Park. And will do everytime I am over. Friendly place with a local atmosphere.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Lindisfarne Holiday Apartments

48 Alexandra Rd, Blackpool FY1 6BU, UK – 01253 346680

Very friendly owners and ideal place for our weekend I Blackpool. The apartment had everything we could need for a great weekend. Only slight negative was the shower was possessed by the devil, going from hot to cold constantly on 2 of the 3 days..... but this really wouldn't put us off staying here again. Thanks for a great weekend.

had a lovely weekend lovely clean appartments and everthing you need in them and close to beach and shops

Shores Holiday Apartments

25 Osborne Rd, Blackpool FY4 1HJ, UK – 01253 404898

We always stay there when we go over with the kids and the owner is very helpful but the only fault I would give it my daughter had to sleep in the travel cot and my son had to sleep on the two seater sofa as we couldn't get the bed out but kept meaning to say it to the owner as I know he would have gotten it fixed for us but it was my fault but great place everything is central

Lovely and homely although it lacks facilities and the bed sofas are really uncomfy

You can find excellent very well priced accommodation around Blackpool using Airbnb!

We run an Airbnb bed and breakfast down in Devon (house below) - and we have stayed in Airbnb accommodation all over the place. You can find the wonderful little gems with totally committed hosts and really frightful places which you put down to experience! You absolutely have to read the details of each listing - and read the reviews! We have had people coming to East Quither Farm expecting to take over our whole house -  or our kitchen etc simply because they have not read the description. Basically use Airbnb wherever we go - but we do do our homework!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Friends Bed and Breakfast

32 Read's Ave, Blackpool FY1 4BP, UK – 0871 944 3535

Rooms very dated, we had a leak in the ceiling at 5 am. Owner was very nice and breakfast was good. Edit. It was reported in the morning and we were told it was the shower above. We didn't report it at the time as it was 4.30am when we got in so we but a bucket underneath.

Arrived will a warm welcome staff could not do enough for you and had my little grandson and my dog.room was clean and bed was comfortable food was amazing and breakfast will be returning again thanks for everything 10/10

The Arthington

24 St Chad's Rd, Blackpool FY1 6BP, UK – 01253 346436

Would recommend this B&B to anybody, the couple who has it are two precious gems, can't do enough for you. The rooms are immaculate with different themes in them all, there is 8 bedrooms. The breakfast in the morning is superb everything from full English to scrambled eggs on toast, there is also cereal yogurt and account much coffee and reading as you want. Love this place 5th time here, and will be back again

Lovely and clean. Thanks for the laughs Elaine and Steve. Definitely coming back.

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

Campsites and Caravan Parks

Chippendale parks

191 School Rd, Blackpool FY4 5EL, UK – 01253 697481

I had a great time.sun was shining. Very friendly .great service. Take 50p for showers.loved it .going back soon..

We stayed at this beautiful, well kept, little campsite which is in a lovely location last Saturday night (28/7/18) We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the toilets / shower block and the camp owners were a pleasant couple. The only issue we had was with a fellow camper, in a neighbouring pitch, with a campervan who ignored all the camp signs stating dogs must be kept on a leash at all times which led to his staffy legging over to our tent, divebombing it with us inside & ripping a huge hole in the side of it. This cut our trip short as we had heavy rainfall overnight & we awoke very early doors in cold, soggy sleeping bags so we packed up & had left before 8am. I just wish that I'd launched loads of bread for the seagulls on campervan guy's roof as we were passing to rudely awaken the chump as we were.

Blackpool South Caravan and Motorhome Club Site

Marton, Cropper Rd, Blackpool FY4 5LB, UK – 01253 762051

Very good clean site. Plenty of space between caravans. Toilet block and showers are very good. Be careful in the showers as the tiles can be slippery when wet. You are given a key to enter the toilets.

Friendly staff, very helpful. The play park is ideally placed if you manage to get a pitch around it.

Haven Marton Mere Luxury Autism Friendly Caravan.

Blackpool FY4 4XN, UK – 07415 618386

Amazing caravan has everything you need and more..big area to play at the back of caravan. Better than a haven rental with loads of extras that haven don't provide. My children love the game consoles and games. Loads of dvds and family board type games and lots of toys..be booking again.

Love this place my son as autism and my daughter has and and autism combined I would recommend this place highly
